Our aims

The association’s ambitions consist in supporting the cultural, pedagogical, and especially the social activities of the Scuola and to pass on these visions to international music institutions and students. In Switzerland the association aims to support an active exchange between music students of Swiss music institutions and the Scuola. The special aspect of our initiative is to promote the exemplary cooperation between Claudio Abbado and the Scuola in their process of supporting children and adolescents in socially disadvantaged areas of Europe, based on the philosophy of the "El Sistema" organization, founded by Antonio Abreu in Venezuela.

Our projects

• "Fiesole meets Cervo"
  
  Invited by Alja Batthyány-Végh in 2015/16, the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole was present at various concert performances of the Festival Internazionale da Musica da Camera di Cervo.
• Project "Musica per Tutti"
  
  March 19 – 26, 2017, at the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole and in Zurich.
  
  For one week, students of Swiss Music institutions and students of the Scuola will work together and prepare a concert program under the artistic direction of Lorenza Borrani, leader of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe and founder of the Ensemble Spira Mirabilis. Further to the musical cooperation, the students from Switzerland will be introduced into the existing social projects of the Scuola. They will receive practical knowledge about the existing children’s orchestras and choirs, in order to pass on these experiences to other European countries in the future.
